Kids tshirts Grimsby

What are the different ways to print onto a t-shirt?

Personalised t-shirts remain highly popular, suitable for a wide range of events and occasions. These versatile garments are ideal for stag and hen parties, holidays with friends, and even as promotional items for businesses. The method used to print designs, images, or lettering onto t-shirts varies greatly. Read on to find out what are the different ways to print onto a t-shirt.

Top t-shirt printing techniques

Personalised t-Shirts Lincoln

Many people assume that there’s only one way to print onto a t-shirt. In fact, there are several options available thanks to digital technology transforming the t-shirt printing industry in recent years. Each technique comes with various benefits, with some best suited to specific fabrics whereas others are more appropriate for larger orders. The method you choose will also depend on the number of colours in the design you want to print.

As you can see, there are a number of factors to consider when choosing a t-shirt printing method. At Banaman Clothing, we offer many types of t-shirt printing in Grimsby, Lincoln, and Scunthorpe, with all work carried out to the highest possible standards. We use modern, state of the art machine to ensure premium results. Keep reading to find out what are the different ways to print onto a t-shirt.

Screen printing

Screen printing is a very popular method of personalising t-shirts. Also known as silkscreen printing, it’s a good choice due to the fantastic quality finish it delivers. Screen printed t-shirts are famous for their known for longevity and colour vibrancy. Screen printing involves applying ink straight onto the t-shirt using a nylon mesh and stencil.

Although the process can be carried out by hand, machines are usually used and this is the best option for high-volume orders. We can produce many printed t-shirts relatively quickly with screen printing, with a gallon of ink allowing us to produce between 200-500 t-shirts. The screen printing process is super cost-efficient.

DTG printing

Anthem t-shirtDirect to Garment (DTG) printing is another popular method for personalising t-shirts. A specialist textile printer applies ink directly onto the garments, with the fibres absorbing it quickly. To help the colour attach to the t-shirts, we also apply a fixing agent. DTG printing is usually better for designs featuring complex logos and a wide range of different colours. In fact, since there are no restrictions on the number of colours used, it’s easy to achieve the look you desire for your t-shirt.

Computer programs such as Adobe Photoshop can allow you to add even the smallest details and transfer them to the t-shirt with incredible accuracy. At Banaman Clothing, we have state of the art printers for DTG printing. This ensures that the finish achieved is of the highest quality. An important point to consider is that most DTG printers are best designed for printing on t-shirts with high amounts of cotton in them (100% cotton is best). Therefore, the more cotton a t-shirt has, the bolder and more vivid a design will be.

Transfer

Textile transfers are a good choice for less complex designs since only a few colours can be used in the process. A relatively straightforward printing method, transfers are suitable for many different types of garments, including t-shirts. Transfers involve a sheet of vinyl being cut into the shape of a design, such as a logo, and then a heat press is used to heat seal it onto the garment. The process should not be confused with transfer prints that you might’ve seen at instant copy shops. A digitally printed transfer is ideal for producing, bold, vibrant full-colour designs. Transfers work best for low volume orders.

Dye-sublimation printing

If you have ever seen a t-shirt with a big design spread across it, it’s likely that the dye sublimation method was used to produce it. A popular variation of the heat transfer printing method, it works by digitally printing the designs and then using heat to transfer dye onto the t-shirts. Unlike other heat transfer print techniques, dye sublimation uses dye-based ink that turns from solid to gas and then back again.

Whilst dye sublimation usually costs more, the quality of the design is arguably better than other techniques. You can expect a bold and vibrant full-colour image that stands the test of time. Since the ink becomes a part of the fabric, you don’t need to worry about the design cracking, peeling, or otherwise deteriorating over time. Keep in mind that some fabrics aren’t suitable for this printing method. Garments should be light coloured and include polyester (either 100% polyester or a polyester blend). This is because the liquid dye dries up and solidifies when coming into contact with polyester.

Why should you personalise your team sportswear?

Are you considering personalising your team’s sportswear? If so, you’re not alone. Many coaches choose to do this due to the various benefits it can bring to their clubs. Whatever sport you play and whether it’s at a professional or amateur level, customising your shirts can contribute to success. Read on to find out why should you personalise your team sportswear.

Sports Wear in GrimsbyCreate a feeling of unity

Unity is one of the most important factors for both individual and team performance in sports. When players feel that sense of togetherness, they pull in the same direction, striving to achieve a common goal. Personalised sportswear can help to build unity, making everyone on the team feel closer. This creates a bigger desire to succeed on the pitch or court.

Improve team morale

When thinking about why should you personalise your team sportswear, morale is a big factor to consider. When players train and play in the same kit, they all look professional, with no one feeling as if they are less important. If a player feels inferior within the squad, this can impact their confidence during games. This affects the performance of the whole team.

When players wear a shirt displaying the club badge, they feel a sense of pride. They know that they have been trusted to represent their team, making them feel empowered. Players feel emboldened and inspired, boosting team morale.

Recognition

Personalised Sports Wear in Grimsby

For any team, being instantly recognisable on the playing field is essential. Both referees and fans can recognise players much more easily. This helps the game to run more smoothly and provides a more enjoyable experience. With personalised sportswear, the logo can be clearly emblazoned, as well as names and numbers if required.

Personalising sportswear isn’t just important for differentiating teams and identifying players. Doing so can also make the club much more recognisable in a wider sense, boosting its image and brand locally and nationally. Personalising your kit will ensure that people remember your team for all the right reasons. When you invest in the best quality personalised sportswear, your club will be portrayed in the media with branding you can be proud of. Sports clubs have a rich history and prestige, even on a local level, and custom clothing is the ideal way to show this off.

Be taken seriously by opponents

Don’t underestimate the impact that great looking sportswear can have on your opposition. As your players walk onto the pitch or court wearing expertly personalised shirts or vests, your opponents will straight away expect a tough match. They’ll see that your team is organised and the ‘real deal’. This can give you the upper hand before you’ve even kicked or thrown a ball. To gain the edge before the game has started, make sure your team are kitted out in premium personalised sportswear.

A sense of style

Kitting out your team with stylish personalised sportswear can have a dramatic impact on their performance. If they know they look good on the pitch, they’ll feel more confident, which will translate into the quality of their play. Imagine a football shirt in strong and powerful colours, elegantly designed with an embroidered logo and printed numbers and letters. Knowing they look their best will give them confidence and self-belief, helping them to play at their best level.

Hi Vis Vests in Grimsby

What are the benefits of personalised clothing?

Personalised clothing has fast become one of the world’s most popular fashion trends. As well as becoming commonplace in the world of business, it’s also ideal for stag and hen parties, sports teams, and to give as a gift to loved ones. Read on to discover what are the benefits of personalised clothing.

Why is personalised clothing so popular?

Personalised t-Shirts Lincoln

Personalised clothing is popular for a variety of reasons. As well as creating a professional and trustworthy image for businesses, it’s also a way for people to express their own style and originality. Custom clothing can also bring groups of friends together, allowing them to share special memories and mark important occasions. Improve your business’s image

Personalised clothing is common in business. Many companies invest in uniforms emblazoned with their logo and employee’s names. Not only does personalising staff clothing allow customers to quickly identify who works at a shop, restaurant, bar or other setting but it also creates a more professional image for the business.

When employees wear smart uniforms, this reflects positively on the company. Customers are more trusting of businesses when staff wear custom attire rather than plain clothing. They feel like it’s a more legitimate company that they can rely on to provide a quality service. This is especially true for workers like plumbers and electricians who regularly go into people’s homes.

Promote your brand

Displaying your company colours and logo on all your employees’ workwear is a great way to promote your brand. Personalised clothing can serve as an extension of your advertising since potential customers will recognise your company whenever your staff are out and about. Your company’s name will become embedded in people’s minds, even if they don’t realise it.

In time, you should begin to receive more leads and sales as a result of this increased brand exposure. Whether you’re a new start-up or an established business, it’s never too late to get your brand noticed. Your target customers will soon start to see you.

Support team building

Team building events continue to be popular in the business world, with many companies hosting these sessions to help their employees learn how to work together. As well as improving morale and communication between staff, productivity is likely to increase too.

Many businesses opt for personalised clothing for these events since employees who wear the same garments instantly feel connected to each other. They feel a sense of belonging to a group and that they have something in common with others.

Personalised clothing is a great way to level up the playing field too. When everyone wears the same garments for the event, no one stands out as being more important than anyone else. A manager will be considered equal to an apprentice in this sense.

Unite sports teams

When it comes to personalised clothing, some of its biggest benefits are those it brings to sports teams. Customising garments with the team’s logo and their name or number makes players instantly recognisable to fans and the referee. This improves the enjoyment of the game and reduces confusion. Personalised clothing also helps the team to be viewed as professional and tells opponents that they should be taken seriously.

What’s also worth considering is that those team members who wear the same jerseys feel more connected to each other. A sense of unity is created, reinforcing a strong team spirit. This can be highly beneficial on the pitch or court. Players will strive to perform well not just for themselves but for the rest of the team too.

Have fun with friends

When considering what are the benefits of personalised clothing, we couldn’t leave out having fun with friends. Custom t-shirts have been popular for nights out on the town for many years. Countless stag and hen parties proudly sport them as they celebrate their friend’s upcoming nuptials.

Personalised clothing is frequently worn by groups of friends for a variety of events. As well as being worn on nights out, it’s also popular for holidays, race days, and sports matches. Custom garments can be kept as a last reminder of great times spent with friends.

At Banaman Clothing, we can personalise your garments to meet your needs, printing or embroidering images and text to a very high standard. We supply personalised clothing in Grimsby, Lincoln, Scunthorpe and the surrounding areas. As well as bringing fun and humour to an event, personalised clothing can also bring the whole group together by creating a sense of unity.

The perfect gift

Finding the perfect gift for a loved one can be tough, especially if they’re someone who seemingly already has everything they could wish for. However, more and more people are realising that personalised clothing can provide the ideal present for a friend or family member. Customising a t-shirt or hoodie just for them will show them that you’ve put real thought into their gift.

Fun and creative, it’s sure to bring a smile to their face. Personalised clothing is also something that they will treasure forever, rather than being a throwaway gift such as perfume or bubble bath. Whether the message is humorous or sentimental, they will think of you every time they look at it in the future.

The importance of branded uniforms

The importance of branded uniforms [Infographic]

More and more businesses are investing in branded uniforms for their staff. Not only do they strengthen your company identity and allow you to present a professional image to your customers but they can also improve employee work ethic and boost productivity. Read on to discover the importance of branded uniforms for your workforce.

The importance of Branded Uniforms

The benefits of branded uniforms for your staff

Branded uniforms can be a fantastic investment for your company, whatever industry you’re in. Whether you run a hotel or restaurant, a shop or a cleaning company, uniforms personalised with company colours, your logo, or staff names can benefit your business in so many ways. Keep reading to learn the importance of branded uniforms for employees.

Present a professional image

When it comes to your business, it goes without saying that you want to look professional. Therefore, it makes sense to invest in branded uniforms. Not only do they boost your credibility but they also show people that you and your team believe in yourselves. Showing pride in the service you offer means your customers are more likely to have confidence in you. They will trust you to provide a decent service. At Banaman, we supply personalised workwear in Grimsby and Lincoln that helps you present your business in a positive light.

Achieve a cohesive look

When you invest in branded uniforms, you can ensure that there’s a cohesive look running throughout your company. Each staff member will be easily identifiable as part of your business, making sure people know who to approach. Cohesion is important since it gives your brand a consistent appearance that not only looks professional but also eases confusion for the public should they require help or support.

Branded uniforms can be customised in various ways, with subtle changes to accommodate different aspects of your business. For example, uniforms could be made to highlight senior staff or specific roles such as cleaning or kitchen staff.

Build a sense of belonging

Wearing branded uniforms can benefit your staff psychologically. They can create a sense of belonging for employees, making them feel more part of a team. Branded uniforms instil a feeling of solidarity in the workplace, helping to build team spirit and a more collaborative working environment. Since everyone will be on a level playing field in terms of their attire, everyone will feel valued and an important member of the team. As a result, morale and productivity will improve as a result.

Create a feeling of pride

When staff look and feel smart in their branded uniforms, they’ll feel proud to work for your company. Employees who feel a deep sense of pride in their work are also more focused and motivated, which means they’re also likely to be more productive. As well as being more able to achieve high standards and goals, they’re more effective at overcoming challenges at work.

To help employees to feel more proud of their branded uniforms, we recommend making them a part of the process. Ask them what sorts of workwear they’d prefer or what styles they’d be most comfortable wearing. This can help you ensure that the needs of preferences of your workforce at being met and is more likely to generate a positive judgment of the end uniform.

Improved security and health and safety

When considering the importance of branded uniforms, security and health and safety may not immediately spring to mind. However, the ability of people to clearly distinguish between customer and staff shouldn’t be underrated. Your customers and visitors should be able to clearly tell who works for your company. This is particularly important in situations such as evacuations due to a fire alarm sounding, for example. Or if a customer has had an accident on your premises and needs to find a member of staff as quickly as possible.

When staff wear branded uniforms that make it clear they work for your company, they become easily recognisable when customers need them. Rather than blending in with other customers, they become more accessible and able to deliver a higher standard of customer service.

Branded uniforms are available to suit all needs and budgets. So, whatever your requirements are and however much you can afford to spend, you can expect to find the perfect attire for your workforce. Embroidery in Grimsby

Printing or embroidery – which is best?

Are you in the process of ordering workwear for your staff? If so, one of the questions you might face is whether to choose printing or embroidery to personalise the clothing. Whilst these processes are suitable for any garment, they have differences in terms of appearance, longevity, and cost. Read on to find out between printing or embroidery, which is best.

Printing vs. embroidery for workwear

Personalising your workwear can help set your business apart from the crowd, helping to develop your brand identity, improve your employees’ performance, and build trust with your customers. Printing and embroidery are two processes used to customise workwear such as shirts, aprons, and hi-vis jackets and vests. We offer them both here at Banaman Clothing, with our team using the most up to date equipment to deliver high-quality personalised garments that stand the test of time. When it comes to printing or embroidery, which is best for you depends on your needs, tastes, and budget.

Printing

Printed T-Shirts in Grimsby

Many businesses choose printing for their workwear. Not only is this process affordable but it can produce unique and complex designs using a range of vivid colours. At Banaman, we use the best quality printing machines, ensuring the end result is just as you envisaged. There are many different print techniques that can be used to personalise your workwear. The traditional screen method is still common across the UK due to the great results it provides.

However, many suppliers are gradually replacing this technique with the DTG (Direct-to-Garment) process. As the name implies, DTG printing involves emblazoning the image straight onto the garment from the computer image. This is performed using specialised aqueous inkjet technology. Many people believe that this enables more flexibility and creativity than conventional screen printing.

A wide range of fabrics are suitable for printing, including cotton, polyester, and sportswear. However, it’s true that printed designs usually work best on smoother fabrics. Print quality sometimes deteriorates on fabrics with courser surfaces. Embroidery on the other hand works well with a wide variety of materials.

Printing is often preferred for promotional uses due to its low cost. Printed garments can be purchased in bulk to be distributed to clients due to their fantastic value for money. The printing process may also handle intricate artwork better than embroidery, working well with larger designs and handling bright colours nicely. Printing is a popular choice for t-shirt graphics, particularly those with GSM since embroidery is more likely to pull the fabric.

Embroidery

Embroidery Grimsby

Embroidery is the process in which a design is stitched directly onto a garment using a computerised machine. We use state of the art industrial embroidery machines and the highest-quality threads to ensure we always achieve an excellent, long-lasting finish. Your logo or slogan is digitised and then submitted to the machine, with the embroidery process starting once instructions such as the colour of the threads have been submitted.

The main benefit of choosing embroidery overprinting for your workwear is that it’s usually more durable. Embroidered workwear is likely to last a long time, retaining its professional appearance for the lifespan of the garment. Embroidery is usually best for creating logos or slogans on thicker garments, such as polo shirts or jumpers. Embroidery on workwear tends to cost more than printing, however, the longevity it offers makes it cost-effective.

Many people feel that embroidery adds an extra element of class to staff uniforms, helping a brand to stand out when worn by customer-facing staff. Embroidered uniforms may be more suitable for staff working in more formal settings.

What kind of business are you?

One of the biggest things to consider when choosing between printing and embroidery for workwear is that what type of business you are. Whilst both processes come with benefits, the differences between them mean they won’t both be suitable for all companies. You need to consider the sort of impression you want to give your customers and which personalisation method can help you achieve it.

For example, whilst a student bar that wants to emit a relaxed, fun vibe might benefit from large, colour print on staff t-shirts, a high-end restaurant would probably benefit from its staff wearing embroidered shirts and blouses that give off a more professional impression. Whilst both establishments want to showcase their brand to new people and their customers to know who their staff members are, they require different methods of workwear personalisation to do this.

What is your budget?

Since embroidery is more affordable than printing in many cases, it’s important to consider your budget when ordering personalised workwear in Scunthorpe, Grimsby, or Lincoln. However, it’s also important to keep in mind that embroidery is more durable than printing in many cases, which means you’re less likely to have to replace garments as often due to logos becoming worn or damaged over time.

Whether you opt for printing or embroidery, we strongly recommend choosing the highest quality fabrics available to you. They last longer and the end result will look better once the garments are personalised. At Banaman, we’re able to source garments from many different leading manufacturers at a range of prices. We’re confident we can provide you with the quality workwear you can afford.

Best Christmas Marketing Strategies

Christmas adverts and marketing campaigns are often on an entirely different scale to the usual adverts you see throughout the rest of the year. There have been iconic promotions from some of the world’s biggest brands, and certain companies have developed a reputation for bringing out the big guns when it comes to their festive promotions. This article will look at some of the best and most effective Christmas advertising campaigns that this year had to offer.

John Lewis

Synonymous with big budget Christmas adverts, this year was no different for John Lewis as their £1m TV campaign set the benchmark for Christmas promotion. Starring a CGI penguin named Monty, the advert followed the John Lewis trend of a tear-jerking, heartwarming story about a young boy and his best friend. As well as the advert itself, John Lewis spent a staggering £7m on the campaign in total, including a smartphone app, a story book and soft toys. Featuring music from Tom Odell, the advert was a huge hit and was the first event in the Christmas marketing battle between the country’s major retailers.

Sainsbury’s

Another behemoth company who spared no expense with their Christmas promotions, Sainsbury’s went for a historical approach with their advert. Reliving the famous day in the First World War in 1914 where the British and German soldiers laid down their weapons to engage in a friendly game of football, the advert is a touching and poignant reminder of the sacrifices people made for us to enjoy what we have now. The soldiers on opposing sides share chocolate and biscuits, enjoying a respite from the combat, before the distant sound of gunfire signals them to reluctantly return to their respective trenches and prepare to become enemies once again. The commercial’s tagline is ‘Christmas is for sharing’, and given the production values on the piece, you would be forgiven for thinking it was a trailer for a Hollywood film rather than a supermarket’s Christmas advert.

Boots

For their Christmas showpiece, Boots opted to draw attention to the unsung heroes of the festive period, those who work hard to put Christmas dinner on the table and presents under the tree. Showing a nurse who has had to sacrifice Christmas Day with her family for work leaving her shift at midnight, returning to what she thinks will be an empty house and to go to bed ready for Boxing Day. However, unbeknownst to her, her family have banded together to meet her at home in the middle of the night to celebrate the Christmas Day she gave up. Boots’ aim was to help their customers and those who see the advert give recognition to the special people in their lives, highlighting the importance of showing you care as well as giving gifts.

Marks and Spencer

Retail giant Marks and Spencer combined the TV format used by other businesses with harnessing the power of social media for its Christmas drive. In 2013, M&S used a star studded campaign, featuring models David Gandy and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and actress Helena Bonham-Carter. This year, the chain used Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook to give gifts to lucky recipients across the country. Using the Twitter handle @thetwofairies, they have provided real snow to a primary school in Cornwall, given gifts to night shift workers and lit up Newcastle’s Tyne Bridge with fairy-shaped lights.

While the figures that you hear when talking about the cost of these Christmas adverts can be quite eye-watering, the impact that they can have for their respective businesses cannot be underestimated. John Lewis, for example, have developed something of a reputation for delivering a blockbuster advert for the festive period, and this year has seen more companies get in on the act and deliver big-budget advertisements to boost their custom at the most frantic time of the shopping calendar.

Ramping up your marketing efforts over the festive period can yield fantastic benefits for your business. As customers and clients are looking for the perfect gift for their friends and family, planting your company firmly in their minds and hopefully drawing their attention to your services. Banaman are specialists in high quality promotional printing, whether you need it for stationery, coasters or clothing such as t shirts and hoodies. Our expert team can provide these services at excellent prices in all quantities, with no minimum. For more information, get in touch with us today.

Marketing your company is a year-round job, and as such you may find yourself continually having to think of fresh ideas to make your business appeal to existing and potential customers alike. When the festive period rolls around, you are likely to find several ideas for inspiration, and this article will help highlight some of the best ones.

Comfort and Warmth

One of the most attractive ideas to people in the cold winter months is the idea of being comfy and warm, whether that’s in front of the fire or wrapped up in winter clothes outdoors. If you can focus your campaign on something around this theme, so if you’re a clothes brand, for example, you can lure people in with the suggestion of warmth and comfort.

Holidays

An escape from the cold and a trip to warmer surroundings is a route taken by many people during winter, so why not capitalise on this and market your business using winter trips as your theme? This is perfect for a range of businesses in a variety of sectors, from travel to clothing to food. Food that is typically from hotter countries can help customers feel like they’re escaping the winter, for example.

Winter Sports

Sports appeal to a huge range of people, and one of the benefits of using winter sports is that you can either use the sport itself to promote your business, or you can recruit a professional athlete to be a spokesperson for your brand. If used correctly, it can work wonders in attracting new customers. For example, if you run a business selling winter clothing, a professional athlete endorsing your product will boost its reputation no end.

Christmas

Perhaps the most obvious one, Christmas is usually on people’s minds the moment the days start to get shorter and temperatures drop somewhat. Using the festive period to market your business is a tried and tested tactic that is used by small companies and multinational corporations alike. By tying in the Christmas theme with products or services that your business provides, you can make your advertising campaigns relevant and appealing in the winter months.

Grab Attention and Attract Customers when Giving Out Flyers

Distributing hundreds or even thousands of flyers can be a daunting task. How you deliver your flyers is just as important as what’s contained therein. The last thing you want to do is to be seen by people like you are pestering them. Here are a few cheap, easy, convenient and professional methods you can use to distribute your flyers.

Visit several cafés with your flyers. Ask the café’s staff if you can leave some flyers on the special leaflet section, on the tables, or worktops. Plenty of people visit cafés when they go out shopping or during lunch breaks; so this is a great place to leave your flyers. The café owners might be more willing to let you leave your flyers in their property if you include some coupons for their cafés in your flyers. People in a café are usually in a relaxed mood and are much more likely to read the contents of the flyers. Distributing your flyers through cafes can save you a lot of legwork and time.

You can use newspapers as an effective means to get your flyers to reach a wide network of people quickly, especially during winter months. Just call your local newspaper and request them to include your flyers in their newspapers as inserts or preprints of FSIs. Depending on what your flyers are intended for, some newspapers might agree to do this for free or might charge you a small fee for the service. This is a highly effective method too because everybody who buys the newspapers gets to see the flyers. Moreover, people trust newspapers as sources of information and this can give your flyers a lot of credibility.

  1. Giving Free Handouts With Your Flyers

You should consider giving away small promotional items for free along with your flyers. These can be small ticket items such as sweets, candy, fresh food, and others. This method works well when you are handing out flyers directly to your target group.

  1. Put Up A Demo

A good way to attract throngs of people is by putting up a demo then handing out your fliers to the attendants. The demo can be a musical, martial arts or anything that will pique the curiosity of passers by and make them want to stop and watch. If your target group is little kids, you can wear a fancy costume and mask.

  1. Use your Local School, Business, or Local Organisation

There is nothing like a strong local presence for a young relatively unknown business. If you need to distribute some business flyers to the local community after you open a new business, visit your local school, organisation or even church and distribute your flyers there. You can use the local college or university students to help you distribute the flyers for a small fee. There is a small notice board in each school where you can advertise your job and hire several college or university students. This method is often more effective than using street teams. Your hired team can also do some door-to-door distribution far more effectively than you can manage on your own.

By using a little imagination, you can distribute a large volume of flyers within a very short time. Many people try to distribute their flyers by visiting car parks and sticking them underneath car wipers. This method, however, is far from ideal because doing this is essentially trespassing on somebody else’s property.
